Whether it results in many making up their mind to pursue a skilled trades a career, the public school board’s Trades on Tour for Grade 8 students Tuesday achieved its goal of opening minds to at least the possibility.
Grade 8 students looked into the future Tuesday when the public school board’s Trades on Tour opened their eyes — and minds — to a possible career in the skilled trades.
“I thought it would be a lot lower tech, a lot of manual labour,” said Malden Central student Joe Leroux, who visited Centreline (Windsor). “Everything was really high-tech. I was surprised at what they were doing.”
