Shannon Tymosko started in the trades in 2018 after completing a Machinist Co-op. She applied for numerous positions at machine shops with no luck. With no job offer in sight Shannon became frustrated but wasn’t giving up on her dream to become a skilled trades professional.
Shannon decided to continue her education and applied for the YWCA Hamilton Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program.
Her hard work and motivation paid off. Upon completion Shannon began an apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 105. Shannon loves the daily challenges and successes while filling her pockets with money to THRIVE not just SURVIVE throughout the years.
Shannon believes it is important to do what you love, and she hopes to inspire others to do the same. As an ambassador for KickAss Careers, Shannon advocates for all skilled trades pathways. Through her efforts she is proud to be helping others find their own journeys to success.
