Margarita Alejandre | KickAss Careers Ambassador
Margarita Alejandre

KICKASS CAREERS AMBASSADOR

What originally began as a viable career in the arts, eventually transitioned into a career in the trades. Margarita enrolled in the Welding program at Okanagan College and later the Steel Fabricator course.

In 2010, Margarita moved to Edmonton, Alberta where she gained valuable experience working with conveyor companies, pipe shops and in the oil and gas sector. In 2014, she received her Journeyman ticket in Welding with Red Seal Endorsement, and later her B-Pressure ticket.

More than a decade later, the passion for Welding and Fabricating was still very evident but it was at this point where Margarita found greater purpose in her career. In 2019 Margarita I joined her online Alumni group through her college in Alberta, which connects Alumni and current students to assist with career advice and networking. Then in early 2020, she became a mentor for Women in Trades with her previous college, Okanagan College.

For Margarita, over a decade later, the passion for her chosen path in still very evident.
